This is the chance for you or a loved one to fly an aeroplane and experience
the freedom of flight. The introductory flying lesson can be for 30 minutes, 60
minutes or longer, the choice is yours. For many commercial pilots this was their
first step. The costs of trial flights are as follows:

1. Once you have placed your order, a gift pack will be dispatched which will include your own special message. The pack can be sent to an alternative address, if required, and will show the name of the recipient and all the names of those making the gift.
2. Arrange a convenient date and time for the flight. The experience begins with a pre-flight briefing during which your instructor will explain what you can expect from your first flight in a light aircraft.
3. You will then be shown to your aeroplane before the pre-flight checks are carried out. Shortly after becoming airborne the basic effects of each of the controls will be demonstrated to you. You will then be offered the opportunity to take control and manoeuvre the aircraft yourself. In the short time that we are airborne you will learn how to climb, descend and change the direction of flight. On arriving back at the airport your instructor will demonstrate the approach and landing.
4. After the flight you may chat to your instructor, when he will be pleased to answer any questions which you may have.
A trial flight is a very special and rewarding experience in itself, but it is also an integral part of the UK Private Pilot Syllabus. Should you decide to continue with your flying training this flight will form part of the course and will be entered in your personal logbook.
